Hailing from a renowned sports family in China, has made significant contributions to the sports industry throughout his illustrious career. With a basketball background and notable achievements, he has emerged as a prominent figure in the field.
As a player, Martin represented the China National Junior Basketball Team and honed his skills during his studies at Ateneo De Manila University in the Philippines.
Following his retirement from playing, he seamlessly transitioned into the sports business sector, accumulating an impressive 25 years of experience in international sports industry operations.
Martin's career path includes pivotal roles in various organizations. He served as a coaching consultant for the Fujian Jinjiang Basketball Association, introducing youth basketball training programs to villages in the region. His expertise and leadership qualities led him to assume the position of Executive General Manager at the Liaoning Panpan Basketball Club in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). During his tenure, he made significant contributions to the team's success.
One of Martin's career highlights was his role as the Sports Marketing Manager for Nike (China). During his time with the renowned sports brand, he played a vital role in launching the highly popular Nike (China) High School Basketball League in the Chinese market. This league provided a platform for young talents to showcase their skills and served as a breeding ground for future basketball stars.
In addition to his involvement with Nike, Martin played a key role in securing endorsement agreements between the brand and various Chinese Olympic teams. His negotiation skills and deep understanding of the sports industry facilitated partnerships with prominent Chinese athletes, including Yi Jianlian, Zhu Fangyu, Du Feng, Chen Jianghua, Hu Xuefeng, and Tang Zhengdong.
Beyond his work with Nike, Martin has contributed to the growth and development of sports on a broader scale. He co-founded Beijing Landing Sports Culture Development Co., Ltd., where he served as CEO. Under his leadership, the company launched prestigious basketball leagues such as the "Sunshine Cup" for primary and secondary school students in Beijing's Chaoyang District. Martin's collaboration with the Beijing Municipal Education Commission and Beijing Municipal Sports Bureau led to the successful launch of the Beijing "Landing Cup School Basketball Super League," involving championship teams from elementary, junior high, and high schools across all districts and counties in Beijing.
Furthermore, Martin's expertise and industry knowledge have made him a sought-after professional in the sports technology and product domain. He served as the Chief Representative for several overseas companies, including SportingPulse, Genius Sports, Keemotion Sports, Atrium Sports, ASTN - Australian Sports Technology Network, and Synergy Sports. Representing these organizations, Martin attended numerous sports summits, forums, and international sports exchange events, fostering collaborations, and promoting technological advancements in the industry.
In recognition of his accomplishments, Martin was invited by the Chinese central government to lead an international delegation as the Chief Representative of ASTN (Greater China) at the 6th World Internet Conference in Wuzhen, China. This invitation showcased his expertise in the field of "International Sports Technology" and further solidified his reputation as a leading figure in the industry.
Adding to his already impressive portfolio, Martin founded the American Future Sports Academy in Southern California, USA, in 2016. Through this initiative, he continues to nurture and develop young athletes, providing them with opportunities to enhance their skills and pursue their dreams.
In 2023, Martin co-founded the North American Sports Industry Association in Southern California, USA. This new venture aims to further promote sports development, foster partnerships, and create platforms for athletes and enthusiasts to thrive.
