A graduate of Baylor High School, a distinguished private, coeducational college preparatory school in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Alan's passion for sports blossomed during his time there. He quickly earned the title of All-American Baseball Player, showcasing his exceptional talent on the diamond. Notably, Alan's prowess in baseball earned him a coveted spot on the United States national team at the 1982 World's Fair, representing his country on the global stage. In recognition of his extraordinary achievements, he has been inducted into Baylor's Athletic Hall of Fame, leaving a lasting legacy of excellence.

 

Alan's journey continued as he was selected by the prestigious New York Mets professional baseball team, living out the dream of countless athletes. With dedication and finesse, he played for six impactful years, further honing his understanding of sports dynamics and the significance of sports in fostering growth and community.

 

Academic pursuits aligned with Alan's athletic ambitions, leading him to The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
